The Reverend Dr. Karnig M. Kazanjian, Jr., came to St. Paul's on January 1, 2000, and is now beginning his 11th year in our parish.

He previously served a three-pint parish in Calhoun County, AL, for over seven years. During that time he also served a Missouri Synod congregation for four years—and was the only active clergy person serving both denominations simultaneously. Prior to that time, Pastor Kazanjian served in Tennessee for five years.

A native of New Jersey, Pastor Kazanjian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Maryland (1964); a Master of Science degree in psychology and counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey (1967); a Master of Divinity degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina (1987); and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. He was ordained into the public ministry of Word and Sacrament in 1987.

Before entering public ministry, Pastor worked in the business world for 16 years, primarily in the mail order business.

In January, 2010, the Reverend Hugh Williams, Jr., was the guest preacher, helping St. Paul's inaugurate our 80th Anniversary Year. The Reverend Marcus J. Miller, president of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, will be the guest preacher in April.
